Well first of all, this isn't a note, lol. But all right.
Thank you for your apology. You're the first that's ever really tried to speak with us-- let alone respond to us. So yes, I appreciate it.
Yes, it's possible other people from other sites might have taken our photos without our knowing, it happens often. Usually when we find out our work has been taken, we take action to have it taken down. Our image policy is to never let anyone repost or redistribute our works without our permission. It doesn't matter where your other imeem member friends found them, the images should not have been taken in the first place.
Company websites are a little different, but if you and your friends really wanted to use their images then I would have made the effort to contact the companies as well for the right to use them.
I'm glad you agree on my front. If the imeem members wanted to use our work for their graphics, they should have asked for permission first. If permission wasn't granted, they'd best be getting their images from somewhere else where they are allowed.
As for that "don't steal my pics or graphics" thing, I merely wanted to point out how hypocritical it was for them to say those kind of things (while yes, I realize it does happen) while they took things from us when we explicitly say they aren't meant for that kind of usage. Especially for a lot of us whose dolls are
our own original characters. To see them as someone else's defeats the purpose and is more than a little disheartening, I hope you can see.
I don't want to start a 'fight' either persay, I just want to make a point and have my work (and my friends'
enjoyed in the way I/we had meant for it to be. I appreciate your coming out and saying this and thank you for your efforts should imeem come back in some form and Doll Sanctuary along with it.
Salamat po~
